This documentary pulls together oral history to trace a very specific New York chapter of gay life in America. Back in 2014, someone found a box stuffed with hundreds of letters sitting in a storage unit in LA. These letters went all the way back to the 1950s and were written to a young guy named Reno Martin, who'd later become known in Hollywood as agent Ed Limato. When Martin left home to chase a radio career, his closest gay and queer friends kept writing to him just to stay in touch. Every letter's signed with a fake name and ends with a warning to burn it after reading, which tells you everything about an era when just being gay, or dressing in drag, could get you thrown in jail. The filmmakers actually tracked down the surviving writers, now in their eighties and nineties, and turned what could've been dry historical digging into something genuinely personal and intimate. The Stepbrother I Hate to Love (Vertical BL Drama)

How can there be such a dirth of stories that these vertical filmmakers keep rehashing t he same 5-6 permutations and combinations of story and do some sort of mix and match. It's almost like some old fantasies being brought to life in these formats. I am really starting to completely lose it. And then you read all these random glowing made up reviews online and you wonder if people are watching the same thing that I am.

Liam and Noah are stop brothers but not many people know it. Noah's girlfriend actually likes Liam and tris to seduce him. Meanwhile Liam secretly crushes on his stepbrother Noah. Since Liam cant have Noah, he suggests the girl that maybe she should ask Noah for threesome. This is where a drunk Noah shows up against his better judgment and the two finally kiss. Now Noah is also confused as to is he gay and ho can he be attracted to his step brother. The story slowly moves with the two men slowly starting to realize the good points of each other and fall in love. Of course the evil girlfriend tries to spoil it all for them by exposing their secret threatening to get them outside of the hockey team , but her plans fall flat. They eventually get love and acceptance of all.

This Bl was good from emotional pop that they show Liam always wanting Noah but him unsure about his feelings. There is not that much drama and evilness that you get o see in some of the other vertical gay shows. The two boys were quite good looking and Noah's nerdy look was quite hot. But it was Liam who really stands out. Besides all this, the show/film is regular run of the mill standard gay BL vertical product where you can sense from miles whats about happen. (3/10)

I think the budget of this film was probably too small, but for that, the film definitely offers a different and unique storyline without over dramatizing anything. Yes, some scenes were a bit amateurish but in the bigger scheme of things, that can be overlooked. The film is both beautiful and sad in its own unique way. Gaya Sa Pelikula (Filipino Series) [Like In The Movies]

Pinoy BL series seem to be catching up to the popularity of the Thai shows. And I must say that they are doing a pretty good job at it. Where Thai series started to get repetitive with so many shows based in a college setting with seemingly similar storylines, Pinoy series are offering the viewers with new and interesting stories and some really good sets and surroundings. This series was 8 episodes of about 25-20 minutes each. Karl, a 19-year old introvert architecture student is in the middle of an identity crisis. Prior to the start of the second semester in college and forced by his parents, he moves into his uncle's condominium unit so that he can learn to be financially independent. Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. It is really hard to describe the genre of this film in one word. Its important not that the film has some really disturbing scenes so if you go into seeing this film, please proceed with caution. Although any sexual non-consensual activity is not ok, this film has its won strange way of showing that suicide is not the only solution to all life's problems. Makoto is a regular office goer, who just finds out that his girlfriend is probably cheating on him.
