It is honestly exhausting to sit through another terrible series like this. I have noticed the same group of actors popping up in several of these subpar Filipino BL projects before, and they just don't seem to get any better. The production value is bottom-tier, the acting is painful to watch, and there is hardly enough plot here to even justify calling it a show. I get that a lot of these were made as passion projects during or right after the pandemic, but it is 2026 now, and there is just no excuse for this kind of poor execution. It really should have just been a quick short film instead of stretching it out. At least it only has six episodes that run about 15 minutes each, so you can fly through it pretty fast if you’re unlucky enough to start it. The plot is about as basic as it gets. We follow a guy named Sam who is stuck in a major emotional rut. He has been in a steady, loving relationship for years, but he can't stop obsessing over his ex, Travis. Apparently, Travis ...
The story is straight forward. We meet a rich spoilt heir to a rich father who cannot seem to control and keep his son in check. He hires and AI robot Ever 4, to be his son's personal butler. Ever 4 advocates for robot rights while revealing his quirky personality beneath a calm exterior. As Ever 4 bonds with his human companion, the robot's unwavering loyalty and love, affection and care for the son soon leads to a gradual transformation from a tale of friendship, to love and commitment and connection that transcends species (in this case between a human and a robot). Ever 4 save the on from many precarious situations. When the father finds out about so called love he asks the son to leave and try to make in life on his own and Ever 4 follows despite knowing very well that he could be decommissioned anytime for not following orders. Eventually they both come back home after Ever 4 convinces the father and the duo end up getting a custom made AI baby (exactly. Would you believe it?)
There is also a parallel love story of the son's friend and a poor boy who runs a cafe and is figuring out how to pay off his father's debt. Their love story come out of blue and nowhere and trust me, it adds absolutely nothing to the core story besides stretching the whole series to many episodes.
Look, I get that we are trying to come up with novel ideas but you have to draw some lines somewhere. I understand that situation is where the AI robot have become so evolved that they can almost mimic human. Fair enough!! But how and why is this robot eating and drinking? That makes no sense. Even the romance felt a bit forced. Ever 4 is hired to take care of the son, but it felt like right from the first scene, all Ever 4 does is controls and flirts with him. Their emotional connection never felt real enough to support the idea of an AI and human truly being in love. It felt more of a surface-level attraction than a deep, meaningful relationship. Couple interactions were written along the lines of stereotypical dynamics, and, of course, the top is more than capable of doing anything, while the bottom is the one who is cutesy and must be protected. The scenes are stretched for no reason. There were moments that the acting was not the best and the lengthy professions of love at the end detracted rather than added to the series. The less I say about the secondary couple, the better. Their chemistry was lackluster and the lack of emotional depth in their interactions made it hard to care about their relationship. I didn’t feel invested in them as a couple at all. Overall, a disappointing one for me, especially since I have high hopes from Taiwan productions. I would give this a miss. (4/10)
