This rom com had real potential but just doesn't cash in on it. The idea on paper sounds fun and had the makings of a genuinely funny film, but it just never gets there. It settles for doing just enough to keep you watching without ever really going for anything bold or memorable. Even the central romance ends up feeling pretty flat. Harry's a chef living in London who gets left at the altar on his own wedding day. Devastated, his best friend Yaiza, who's originally from the Canary Islands, whisks him away there for a getaway. Once they land, Yaiza discovers her friends have committed to hosting a wedding event that could really boost their business, except they don't have anyone lined up to cook for it. Harry offers to step in as the chef, figuring it'll help distract him from thinking about his ex. One night he gets pretty drunk and nearly drowns in the ocean, only to get rescued by this incredibly good looking stranger. The two of them kiss right there, and then ...

Fighting Mr. 2nd (Taiwanese Series)

Continuing five years since the protagonists left each other, this series is a sequel to Taiwanese BL drama, No. 1 For You. Since The setting has now moved from university days to corporate environment. I thought the prequel was quite decent to watch especially owning to the amazing chemistry that the leads shared, I was quite looking forward to this show. Sadly, the show doesn't live uptown the expectations. The story just feels made up and a bit unrealistic. Despite the chemistry shared by the leads, overall the show doesn't hold on to its premise and promise.

Its been 5 years since Gao Shi De left for US. His long distance relationship with Shu Yi didn't work out (since apparently Shu Yi saw him with some girl). Gao Shi De is now CEO of a company which is being taken over by a new tech company, which turns out is the company of Shu Yi's father and he is now the VP. In their first meeting, as expected there is an emotional clash because of assumption of betrayal from both of them. When Shu Yi announces to fire half the company, Gao Shi De tries to mend and is now determined to win over Shu Yi again at any cost. It turns out that the father (whom we met in first season) was the reason for the breakup between the two boys and he created all sorts of misunderstandings between the couple. When this is cleared, the duo are back together. There is also the side story of the CTO, who probably has Aspergers Syndrome, and who is madly in love with a restaurant owner who happens to be Gao Shi De's close friend. We do see their budding relationship as well in the show.

Moving the show to the corporate world gives an authenticity to the overall show, but such youngsters holding such powerful positions feels a but much IMO. What's worse is that whatever explanations the writers tries to Gove for the break up between the two guys, none of them were convincing enough. The circumstances of Gao Shi De's mother getting pregnant or Shu Yi's father creating misunderstanding were all too convoluted and nonsensical to say the least. Any conflict between them feels manufactured, driven by an artificial need to keep the couple apart at the start of the series. The focus on the other couple of CTO and his love, I am not sure what was the point of that. Their romance also o differs from illogical explanation where the other guys justifies saying he is emotionless and blah blah. The CTO guy was cute and could have been very interesting but giving him the usual backstory just didn't justify anything. Oh, and there was also the couple who were assistants to Shu Yi (one of them being from college). Their relationship was even worse with them getting only a handful of scenes and hence their engagement towards the end of the show came out of nowhere and made no sense. 

Overall, the only decent thing about the show was the continued good chemistry between the two leads. But besides that, there is nothing much to talk about this show. In ever episode, I secretly kept hoping that the handsome doctor from the prequel will show up, but only if wishes could come true. Maybe a season 3 with him? Haha. (5/10)

I was a bit disapointed too. Btw there is a special episode between the 2 seasons where if I remember right you see the reason why Zhou Shu Yi thinks Goa Shi De cheated and started a new life. What annoyed me the most was the secret absurd deal with the father. I would have wanted to see more about the side couple who gets married (they are cute, but it's just hinted they are in a relationship). Some scenes were really good though, and the chemistry is still there.
They were rumors about a season 3 but nothing confirmed yet. I would galdly watch it!

I heard about those special episodes but I was so disappointed that I just decided to stay away from that.
I haven't heard about Season 3 yet, but I won't be surprised. I think overall the shows have done quite well

I think the budget of this film was probably too small, but for that, the film definitely offers a different and unique storyline without over dramatizing anything. Yes, some scenes were a bit amateurish but in the bigger scheme of things, that can be overlooked. The film is both beautiful and sad in its own unique way. Sei no Gekiyaku (Japanese) [Dangerous Drugs of Sex]

Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. It is really hard to describe the genre of this film in one word. Its important not that the film has some really disturbing scenes so if you go into seeing this film, please proceed with caution. Although any sexual non-consensual activity is not ok, this film has its won strange way of showing that suicide is not the only solution to all life's problems. Makoto is a regular office goer, who just finds out that his girlfriend is probably cheating on him. ON top of it, his parents sudden death coming back from a trip that he forced them to take, he gets completely dejected and decides to commit suicide. The Shortest Distance is Round 3: Fallen Flowers

Continuing with the weird trilogy of "The Shortest Distance", I am so glad that finally I am done with part 3 and won't have to deal with this again in future. Thankfully, as of now the makers have not announced any further parts; which will save all of us on this earth from the embarrassment of watching this in near future. After the first 10 minutes are used in sort of recapping bits of first two parts, the story moves forward. Haruto is now starting to have feelings for Ruka, the mysterious pole dancer from second part. In a fit of rage, Ruka ends up killing the goat man and to save him and Haruto, Shibahara asks them to go underground. Meanwhile Shibahara continues the search for Seiya (the guy who had cut off Haruto's penis). It turns out Seiya is now also taking care of the original club owner from part 1.
