Skam Italia: Season 2 (Italian Series)

Just like the other European takes on the Norwegian hit  Skam , the Italian version stands out as an intense and emotional show that feels very real. It does things a little differently by moving the gay storyline up to Season 2 instead of the usual Season 3. This season focuses on Martino Rametta as he figures out his identity and follows his relationship with Niccolò Fares. It sticks to the same cool format where we get short clips throughout the week showing these teenagers dealing with their daily highs and lows. The season is made up of ten episodes that run about 20 to 30 minutes each. We pretty much know the plot by now, and this version follows the original story closely while adding its own unique Italian vibe. Martino is really confused about his sexuality and tries to trick himself and everyone else into thinking he likes girls by dating a girl named Emma. Everything changes when he meets Niccolò, a charming guy at a party, and falls for him instantly. They have great ch...

My Secret Of Seer (Thai Series)

To be honest, this show really didn't have much going for it at all. It felt like there were way too many people to keep track of for no reason. On top of the main story about Win trying to figure out who is haunting him, they threw in all these side plots—like a friend trying to hurt him because of a crush, and random staff members getting tons of screen time to deal with relationship drama that Win somehow fixes. A lot of it just felt like total nonsense. It honestly reminded me of a much cheaper, lower-quality version of Khemjira. I’m just glad it only lasted eight episodes, even though sitting through fifty minutes of each one felt like absolute torture.

The story is about a 26-year-old guy named Win who works as a traditional fortune teller, spending his days helping other people figure out their lives. But Win realizes he’s stuck in a terrible cycle of bad luck and a scary spiritual curse that might actually kill him before the year is up. His own readings tell him he needs to find someone with massive spiritual energy to protect him and balance out all his bad vibes. That’s where he meets Phloeng, a YouTuber who visits "haunted" spots just to prove ghosts aren't real and debunk all the myths. They end up teaming up for a TV show together. To make things more crowded, the owner of the TV channel also starts showing a romantic interest in Win, so now he’s got two guys after him. All sorts of random events happen throughout the series, and if I’m being honest, I had no clue what was actually happening ninety percent of the time.

The show is full of people who seem important for one episode and then just vanish, making them totally pointless in the end. Everything felt so weird and disjointed. There just wasn't anything interesting to hold onto. Sure, it has the usual BL moments, but who even cares at that point? Also, that naked ghost wearing a rabbit mask was a total eyesore. I never understood if he was a real ghost Win just got used to having around or if he was just stuck in Win's head. When he finally took the mask off, he turned out to be really handsome, but his happy ending made no sense either. There’s a major problem when you can't relate to a single person on screen. Just casting good-looking people isn't enough to make a show decent. Win keeps having these bizarre dreams where he jumps from reading tarot cards to being in someone else's dream, then into an actual event, and then back to reality with ghosts everywhere. It left me so confused. To top it off, the big reveal at the end was the worst part. The explanation for everything was terrible and didn't make any sense at all. The acting was poor, I didn't care for any of the couples, and I was bored out of my mind the whole time.

This series is a total mess with a confusing plot and a finale that fails to explain anything in a way that makes sense. (2/10)

Drug Shore (Chinese)

Apparently tis film was adapted by a true story Well, true or not, movies/series about drugs are not easy to watch. I have always said that drugs is like the end of life for anyone. For those who sink into this sea of addiction, some manage to swim upstream to recovery, while others cannot make it to the shore. The film may not be the best, but it does have a noble intention to remind everyone of the evil affects of drugs and combining that with sex. Ah Zhe is in a happy relationship with his influencer boyfriend. On his partner's birthday, they end up going to a party, which interestingly is being hosted at a drug dealer's house and this is where for the first time he is exposed to the world of drugs. The duo somehow do it just enough and come back home but next day Ah She gets invited by the dealer Xiao Fei for a meal. The dealer has a soft corner for Ah Zhe, but before anyone realizes, Ah Zhe's life spirals out of control when slowly he starts doing more and more drugs, ...

Sei no Gekiyaku (Japanese) [Dangerous Drugs of Sex]

Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. It is really hard to describe the genre of this film in one word. Its important not that the film has some really disturbing scenes so if you go into seeing this film, please proceed with caution. Although any sexual non-consensual activity is not ok, this film has its won strange way of showing that suicide is not the only solution to all life's problems. Makoto is a regular office goer, who just finds out that his girlfriend is probably cheating on him. ON top of it, his parents sudden death coming back from a trip that he forced them to take, he gets completely dejected and decides to commit suicide. Unknown to him, he is saved by mysterious man Yoda Ryoji, and he wakes up finding himself tied up in leather and belts in a very BDSM setting. This mysterious saver soo...

Gaya Sa Pelikula (Filipino Series) [Like In The Movies]

Pinoy BL series seem to be catching up to the popularity of the Thai shows. And I must say that they are doing a pretty good job at it. Where Thai series started to get repetitive with so many shows based in a college setting with seemingly similar storylines, Pinoy series are offering the viewers with new and interesting stories and some really good sets and surroundings. This series was 8 episodes of about 25-20 minutes each. Karl, a 19-year old introvert architecture student is in the middle of an identity crisis. Prior to the start of the second semester in college and forced by his parents, he moves into his uncle's condominium unit so that he can learn to be financially independent. Karl takes on odd jobs online to do so. But when one of his major clients suddenly goes MIA, he is left short on funds and without a means to pay for his utilities. An opportunity presents itself when his cocky neighbor Vlad has to hide from his family and proposes to share Karl's space for th...
