It is honestly exhausting to sit through another terrible series like this. I have noticed the same group of actors popping up in several of these subpar Filipino BL projects before, and they just don't seem to get any better. The production value is bottom-tier, the acting is painful to watch, and there is hardly enough plot here to even justify calling it a show. I get that a lot of these were made as passion projects during or right after the pandemic, but it is 2026 now, and there is just no excuse for this kind of poor execution. It really should have just been a quick short film instead of stretching it out. At least it only has six episodes that run about 15 minutes each, so you can fly through it pretty fast if you’re unlucky enough to start it. The plot is about as basic as it gets. There is a soccer team which is not doing too well and is bought over by a media entertainment company. The agency takes over and cuts out all the players with a poor face, then forces the actors with a face value from their agency to become players. To capitalize on their looks rather than their sports skills is actual demeaning, but the players are left with no choice but follow through this ridiculous charade if they want to remain on the team. Some players are gone and some new faces come in. The first couple here is Do Ji U, the star soccer player and Yoo Gang Jae, the celebrity actor who has joined the team. Do Ji U was a fan of the actor ever since he played the role of a football player in a film. He is a hardcore fan of him. Surprisingly, the actor also has had a secret crush on the [player since childhood. They wer sin same school and the actor used to constantly watch him play in school. This couple goes through our standard 'enemies to lover' trope; right when the team is sent for winter training at a camp ground where they are forced to live, train and spend time with each other. Then we have the handsome team captain, who it seems had some liking for star player Do Ji U, and despite being extremely unhappy with the situation, he is trying to help the new actors who know literally nothing about soccer. One of these is a ex-idol who is no longer popular as he used to be. They end up being room mates and their cute banter and slowly both of them coming out of their shell to fall for one another is quite endearing. There is some drama, as you would expect since there is barely any games but a lot of social media and product endorsements. The focus completely shifts away from the game and is only on the romance.
This one had a lot of promise with an unique setting and premise, but sadly 2-3 episodes in, I realized that they had absolutely no plans to have any story whatsoever. You know, when you know the show is gonna go totally south but still you watch it hoping that you would be proved wrong. Something similar happened to me here. There are few scenes here and there that bring you a smile. Like the main couple. Their comedic timing, awkward tension, and general chaos fuel most of the show’s laughs—and they wear it well. The light vibes were adorable and matched the energy but how long can you survive a series just with that. The show has to make progress too. The secondary couple felt more lovable but they were never given the prominence they deserved. The drama involving a grudged ex-team member ; to our actor wanting to do a film, then not do it and then do again. The biggest problem here is clearly lack of a cohesive storyline. Several characters served little to no purpose and felt like filler added just to stretch out the episodes. Many scenes dragged or were clearly there to pad runtime rather than drive the story. With no proper character development, this series just failed to do anything for me. (3.5/10)
