It is honestly exhausting to sit through another terrible series like this. I have noticed the same group of actors popping up in several of these subpar Filipino BL projects before, and they just don't seem to get any better. The production value is bottom-tier, the acting is painful to watch, and there is hardly enough plot here to even justify calling it a show. I get that a lot of these were made as passion projects during or right after the pandemic, but it is 2026 now, and there is just no excuse for this kind of poor execution. It really should have just been a quick short film instead of stretching it out. At least it only has six episodes that run about 15 minutes each, so you can fly through it pretty fast if you’re unlucky enough to start it. The plot is about as basic as it gets. We follow a guy named Sam who is stuck in a major emotional rut. He has been in a steady, loving relationship for years, but he can't stop obsessing over his ex, Travis. Apparently, Travis ...
This is a stage play from 1990 that was televised as a movie back in the day. I can see folks probably enjoying this on stage in theatre, but stuff like this, when seen on TV, just gives a very different vibe. From a plot perspective it is set in 1930s Hollywood, where being gay was big time frowned upon, but as we know there were many people in closet. Her his one such fiction story.
Hyde is a successful actor director in Hollywood and has a successful wife as well. He is secretly gay and has a boyfriend David but no one knows about it. One day when his wife has an accident, a journalist goes after him to expose him. The journalist is actually a gossip columnist working for Hollywood Confidential. HE crashes a men only party where he finds out that Hyde has a secret lover. He then turns to blackmail Hyde to give up his love and explore other men in Hollywood who are closet gay. If he didn't do so, Hyde will be exposed in the newspaper. Afraid, Hyde gives into his demands but his blackmail never ends. Few years later, Hyde tries to take his revenge by making on a film with his real life exposing a blackmailing journalist. But as expected, he gets lot of push back from studios and producers. When his boyfriend David finds out that Hyde has been secretly exposing gay men, he is heartbroken. Things take a turn, when the journalist's secretary brings proof of the journalist affair with Hyde's wife and how he could have been involved in her death.
As mentioned before, the acting was very theatrical which is how it should be, but watching it on TV makes it an odd experience. Its difficult to describe in words. Its feels loud, too prepared endnote natural. And personally for me, it was also hard to connect with the characters in such an environment and feel anything for them. It wasn't; t really very clear why. The gossip columnist goes after Hyde. Was it because of his love for his wife or something else. His character was clearly that of a manipulative person, but what was really Hyde's stance wasn't very clear. His persona and behavior changes with every situation, so as an audience you are never sure of his standing on the subject. Overall I didn't enjoy it too much. (3/10)
