This one's a beautiful, tender, quiet romantic drama with a moody atmosphere, set in a tight knit Welsh fishing community. It's a touching story about a man waking up sexually in the middle of his life, and how he, his family, and everyone around him deal with it, which makes it emotional and sentimental without ever getting over the top. The slow burn plays out against a landscape that's as bleak as it is gorgeous, where quiet, closed off men are stuck inside rigid ideas of what masculinity should be. Some people might be reminded of "God's Own Country," but I think both films are lovely in their own way. Jack is a middle aged guy who co-owns a mussel farm with his rough around the edges brother Dyfan, and the tension between the two of them is simmering under the surface right from the start. Straight Story (Greek)

I can't remember but I am pretty sure I watched a film with a similar theme earlier. This one although was funnier and sassier than the ones I have seen before. Forget the acting aspect but overall it was a good fun experience. The film is set in a modern world where being gay is the norm and straight people are in minority and are considered perverts.

Yiannis is a straight man in a gay world, who secretly goes to straight clubs. He has loving dads and he is afraid to come out to them and tell them he is straight. He loves Sophia at his work but is too afraid to say her because she is already in relationship with another girl. Secretly Yiannis hangs out with his straight friends and goto clubs. One of the night, SOphia and Yiannis get both drunk and end up sleeping with each other. Yiannis likes her but now she is confused because she totally loves her partner but she also can't resist the temptation of being with a man. Meanwhile one of Yiannis's dad has had an affair with a very yound man who is now in love with him and is threatening to ruin the perfect happy family. He to an extent succeeds but the dad begs forgiveness from his spouse. The other dad passes out when the secret of Yiannis being straight is revealed and that is wen film has a fantastic end. It is revealed that he was watching a dream. But now he gets a perspective to accept his own son being gay and loving.

The acting by al characters was really good. Oh! and one thing I couldn't help but noticing was that Yiannis ass was soooo good. lol. A lot of stuff was over the top but hey I am not complaining. It made me laugh by taking me to an escapist cinema and once in a while it is good to watch such stuff.

Good time pass with a good dosage of laughter. (6.5/10)

When I saw this series with 8 episodes of about 20-25 minutes each, I thought, good: Finally someone has come to senses and made a show which is not stretched out and they have tried to squeeze in a decent storyline in a good small episode format. Heartstopper Season 1 was a universal hit. You could not have read one bad review or heard from anyone who has seen the show not liking it. It was the kind of series that is easy to love, with sweetness exploding out of every scene without overwhelming you. So naturally, when Netflix greenly Season 2, expectations were naturally high and the same happened with me. I didn't know what to expect, but I had high expectations of this very very sweet teenage love story. Gaya Sa Pelikula (Filipino Series) [Like In The Movies]

Pinoy BL series seem to be catching up to the popularity of the Thai shows. And I must say that they are doing a pretty good job at it. Where Thai series started to get repetitive with so many shows based in a college setting with seemingly similar storylines, Pinoy series are offering the viewers with new and interesting stories and some really good sets and surroundings. This series was 8 episodes of about 25-20 minutes each. Karl, a 19-year old introvert architecture student is in the middle of an identity crisis. Prior to the start of the second semester in college and forced by his parents, he moves into his uncle's condominium unit so that he can learn to be financially independent.
