This is your typical indie coming-of-age tale about a teenager, though it’s clearly working with a very tiny budget. Set within a migrant family living in Southern California’s Coachella Valley, the movie digs into how fragile old-school traditions and expectations can be. We follow a teenage son as he goes through the process of coming out and struggles to find acceptance while dealing with homophobia, domestic abuse, and a messy love triangle that involves his own sister. Goyo is seventeen and just about to graduate from high school. Since he’s been a bit more feminine since he was a little kid, he’s always had to deal with emotional and physical transition from his dad, Ramon, who is obsessed with him being "a man." The only real love he gets is from a lady next door who actually respects him for who he is. Outing Riley [If Dad Only Knew]

One of my close friends recommended the movie to me. He knew my taste and was sure I will like it. And yes! I did like it. Its the kind of movies I prefer to see. Comic, drama, emotions, family etc. It was nice... very nice.

Bobby Riley is one of the four brothers and 1 sister Maggie in a Irish catholic family. Except his sister no one knows that he is gay. After their father's death, Maggie wants Bobby to come out to his other brothers Jack (priest), Connor (obsessed with Internet porn) and Luke (the prankster). Bobby though he lives with his boyfriend Andy, still doesn't have the nerve to tell his brothers even though he tries hard to come out to them on a weekend getaway. One evening Maggie throws the bomb out in open by showing everyone Bobby's and Andy's pictures and telling everyone that he is gay.From here starts the tribulations that Bobby, Andy, his brothers and Maggie go through and they eventually accept Bobby and Andy. Bobby's dilemma functions on both comic and dramatic planes because when he does spill the beans, his brothers assume due to his regular-guy demeanor that he's kidding. Besides, they're meat and potatoes Irish-Catholic, so Bobby simply can't be gay. But, everybody, it turns out, has a secret. The way Maggie tries her best to keep the family together even if it means telling a big lie to everyone keep you giggling.

Acting wise everyone is decent. The shot where Luke is high and shows his ass is hot! Luke was hot and nude. What else would you want to see in the movie. Chicago as always look beautiful in the movie. Its plain simple entertainment for folks like me.

You should see this one for sure. Feel good entertainer. (7/10)

I really enjoyed this film I had recorded about four or five and they were pretty bad this one I was about to sit back and relax and laugh about. Something about seeing a family come closer together. It was funny and sweet and givse me hope that when my parents pass me and my brother and sister will remain good close siblings. The gay relegion conflict to me seemed resolved at the end but I am not sure everyone can see eye to eye like that. LOL!! I cant wait to get this one on DVD its a great tale of coming out and family support!!

Apparently tis film was adapted by a true story Well, true or not, movies/series about drugs are not easy to watch. I have always said that drugs is like the end of life for anyone. For those who sink into this sea of addiction, some manage to swim upstream to recovery, while others cannot make it to the shore. The film may not be the best, but it does have a noble intention to remind everyone of the evil affects of drugs and combining that with sex. Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. It is really hard to describe the genre of this film in one word. Its important not that the film has some really disturbing scenes so if you go into seeing this film, please proceed with caution. Although any sexual non-consensual activity is not ok, this film has its won strange way of showing that suicide is not the only solution to all life's problems. Makoto is a regular office goer, who just finds out that his girlfriend is probably cheating on him. ON top of it, his parents sudden death coming back from a trip that he forced them to take, he gets completely dejected and decides to commit suicide. The Shortest Distance is Round 3: Fallen Flowers

Continuing with the weird trilogy of "The Shortest Distance", I am so glad that finally I am done with part 3 and won't have to deal with this again in future. Thankfully, as of now the makers have not announced any further parts; which will save all of us on this earth from the embarrassment of watching this in near future. After the first 10 minutes are used in sort of recapping bits of first two parts, the story moves forward. Haruto is now starting to have feelings for Ruka, the mysterious pole dancer from second part. In a fit of rage, Ruka ends up killing the goat man and to save him and Haruto, Shibahara asks them to go underground. Meanwhile Shibahara continues the search for Seiya (the guy who had cut off Haruto's penis). It turns out Seiya is now also taking care of the original club owner from part 1.
