This is the second vertical AI BL drama I've sat through, and honestly I went in knowing better. I had it on while I was doing cardio at the gym, and what struck me was just how much the plot echoed the last one I watched. Same step brother romance angle, same mystery girlfriend showing up near the end, same extra guy pining after one of the leads. Genuinely the only thing going for it was the runtime, the whole thing wrapped up in forty five minutes flat.  The setup kicks off with Finn moving schools because his mom just married into money. He finds out his new step brother Aiden goes to the same place, and he's warned to keep his distance from him. Their first run in at school is rocky, just like you'd expect, but there's this odd pull between them neither can shake off. Finn keeps telling himself not to read into it because Aiden's straight and openly homophobic. Things shift when some kids start bullying Finn and the student council president, Ryan, steps in to ...

Danny Will Die Alone: Season 2 (Web Series)

The season 2 of Dekkoo TV original 'Danny Will Die Alone' continues its raunchy, hilarious, yet relatable exploration of gay dating in NYC injecting sharp, witty humor. We continue to witness Danny’s disastrous dating life as he attempts to find love online, including adventures in openness, polyamory, sex drive compatibility, and, naturally, fisting. This season has 6 episodes of about 20-25 minutes each.

The season continues with more of Danny’s wild escapades and his running commentary on everything going breaking the fourth wall. Besides the Danny, we have another central character this time named Matty, Danny’s regular hookup buddy. His presence adds a layer of drama that gives Danny’s character new emotional depth. Matty serves as Danny’s go-to for regular intimacy between his dating life and their dynamic brings a new dimension to Danny’s journey. The first episode shows a dating app and how he gets into a war of words with a guy who is too much into himself (I found myself chuckling a lot into this episode). Next we see, Danny starts falling for Joey, who reveals himself to be a side. Third epode shows us a threesome between Danny, Matty and another guy prompting Danny to try dating a couple. Of course, none of these go well. Fourth is the most funny one where Danny gets fisted. In the 5th episode, he finally meets a guy, who he likes, has good sex but he cannot get over the fact that the man uses female anatomy words while having sex. And in the final episode Danny debates entering a polyamorous relationship with slowburn Charlie. All through these episodes we also see how Danny and Matty's relationship evolves. Hints are thrown in each episode on how slowly Matty has more than FWB feelings for Danny who is completely oblivious to it and finally in the last episode Matty makes it very clear to him that he has fallen for him over this period, leaving Danny in shock. I am hoping next season will show what happens next.

Season two stays true to the show's roots always with a bit of hyperbole for comedic effect however, this time around, there's more heart. Season two delves deeper into the conflict between Danny's adherence to traditional, heteronormative relationship models and the evolving landscape of queer dating, particularly among younger generations. This evolution often leaves Danny feeling like he's being left behind, offering a sharp but relatable commentary on the generational divide within the LGBTQ+ community. The addition of Matty's character adds more heart in addition to fun and drama. I have to say that chemistry that these two actors share with each other was fantastic. Matty serves as Danny's go-to for regular intimacy between his dating misadventures, and their dynamic brings a new dimension to Danny's journey. One thing I realized while watching this season was that watching one episode a day made it lot more funnier than trying to binge watch. I dont really know the reason, but that worked for me. Humor was spot on, the way Danny comments on every single adventure he is going through, are so real and true that most gay men in dating scene, especially in a city like NYC will identify with it instantly. The actors playing Danny and Matty are really amazing and so are the other characters that come in every episode. The direction is polished. Some people may find Danny's judgmental nature grating, but IMO it offers a brutally honest, often cringey, but funny look at finding love amidst hypersexuality and emotional unavailability. It's seen as a candid snapshot of modern gay culture, balancing vulgarity with relatable struggles, with fans eager for more. (7.5/10)

I think the budget of this film was probably too small, but for that, the film definitely offers a different and unique storyline without over dramatizing anything. Yes, some scenes were a bit amateurish but in the bigger scheme of things, that can be overlooked. The film is both beautiful and sad in its own unique way. Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. It is really hard to describe the genre of this film in one word. Its important not that the film has some really disturbing scenes so if you go into seeing this film, please proceed with caution. Although any sexual non-consensual activity is not ok, this film has its won strange way of showing that suicide is not the only solution to all life's problems. Makoto is a regular office goer, who just finds out that his girlfriend is probably cheating on him. ON top of it, his parents sudden death coming back from a trip that he forced them to take, he gets completely dejected and decides to commit suicide. The Shortest Distance is Round 3: Fallen Flowers

Continuing with the weird trilogy of "The Shortest Distance", I am so glad that finally I am done with part 3 and won't have to deal with this again in future. Thankfully, as of now the makers have not announced any further parts; which will save all of us on this earth from the embarrassment of watching this in near future. After the first 10 minutes are used in sort of recapping bits of first two parts, the story moves forward. Haruto is now starting to have feelings for Ruka, the mysterious pole dancer from second part. In a fit of rage, Ruka ends up killing the goat man and to save him and Haruto, Shibahara asks them to go underground.
