Chained To My Bully Stepbrother (AI Vertical BL Drama)

This is the second vertical AI BL drama I've sat through, and honestly I went in knowing better. I had it on while I was doing cardio at the gym, and what struck me was just how much the plot echoed the last one I watched. Same step brother romance angle, same mystery girlfriend showing up near the end, same extra guy pining after one of the leads. Genuinely the only thing going for it was the runtime, the whole thing wrapped up in forty five minutes flat.  The setup kicks off with Finn moving schools because his mom just married into money. He finds out his new step brother Aiden goes to the same place, and he's warned to keep his distance from him. Their first run in at school is rocky, just like you'd expect, but there's this odd pull between them neither can shake off. Finn keeps telling himself not to read into it because Aiden's straight and openly homophobic. Things shift when some kids start bullying Finn and the student council president, Ryan, steps in to ...

Revamp: The Undead Story (Thai Series)

I really didn't like this BL series at all. The story was weak, the timing was all over the place, and I just couldn't connect with any of it. Everything about how it was made felt totally mechanical. To be fair, I'll give credit where it's due—the idea behind the show was actually pretty interesting, and I'm sure some people might like it, but it just didn't work for me. The series is 10 episodes long, and each one runs for about 50 minutes.

The main story is about two guys named Punn and Ramil. Punn runs a shop where he fixes up old antiques, and he gets hired to restore a painting in a gallery. Without knowing it, his blood actually ends up freeing a vampire named Ramil who has been trapped inside that painting for 100 years. Ramil comes out without his full powers, so he’s hunted and really vulnerable, which means he has to depend on Punn for help. Punn isn't sure about it at first, but he gets pulled into this secret world of vampires and old feuds, realizing that fixing that painting woke up some really dangerous people. To get his strength back, Ramil has to find his old powers, which are tied to three of his former vampire servants who disappeared and are now hiding as humans. Punn and Ramil go on a trip to find these three, since each one has a piece of Ramil’s power. Along the way, they deal with different personalities, secrets from the past, and tough choices about who is really a monster. As they travel, Punn and Ramil go from being uneasy partners to having a much more intimate relationship. The whole thing builds up to a big fight between vampires and Hunters, bringing up old grudges and the sad history of Ramil’s family.

If this show had been handled the right way, it could've been a fun "guilty pleasure," but the way they made it just ruined all that potential. Even by the very end, the drama couldn't decide what it wanted to be. Was it supposed to be dark? A romance? Or was it making fun of itself? It felt like a different person was directing every scene. They also added a subplot about vampire hunters, and I thought that would finally make things exciting, but it totally fell flat. You’d think a secret group fighting monsters and declaring war would be cool, but their plans made it look like they weren't prepared at all. Also, for a story like this, they spent way too much time on the romance between the two leads. I never thought I’d complain about too much love in a show, but here we are. Honestly, I feel like I'm wasting my time even writing this. There wasn't anything I actually liked about the series. The story wasn't finished, the actors didn't have enough to do, the romantic background music was played way too much, and the fight scenes were just terrible. The show tries to focus on everything and nothing at the same time. It wastes so much time on boring details that don't matter and completely forgets to actually move the plot along. It just throws random story bits at you here and there. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time on this one.

This is a messy, poorly made series that wastes a cool concept on bad pacing and a confusing tone. It’s hard to stay interested when the show doesn't seem to know what kind of story it wants to tell. (2/10)

I think the budget of this film was probably too small, but for that, the film definitely offers a different and unique storyline without over dramatizing anything. Yes, some scenes were a bit amateurish but in the bigger scheme of things, that can be overlooked. The film is both beautiful and sad in its own unique way. Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. It is really hard to describe the genre of this film in one word. Its important not that the film has some really disturbing scenes so if you go into seeing this film, please proceed with caution. Although any sexual non-consensual activity is not ok, this film has its won strange way of showing that suicide is not the only solution to all life's problems. Makoto is a regular office goer, who just finds out that his girlfriend is probably cheating on him. The Shortest Distance is Round 3: Fallen Flowers

Continuing with the weird trilogy of "The Shortest Distance", I am so glad that finally I am done with part 3 and won't have to deal with this again in future. Thankfully, as of now the makers have not announced any further parts; which will save all of us on this earth from the embarrassment of watching this in near future. After the first 10 minutes are used in sort of recapping bits of first two parts, the story moves forward. Haruto is now starting to have feelings for Ruka, the mysterious pole dancer from second part. In a fit of rage, Ruka ends up killing the goat man and to save him and Haruto, Shibahara asks them to go underground.
