This is the second vertical AI BL drama I've sat through, and honestly I went in knowing better. I had it on while I was doing cardio at the gym, and what struck me was just how much the plot echoed the last one I watched. Same step brother romance angle, same mystery girlfriend showing up near the end, same extra guy pining after one of the leads. Genuinely the only thing going for it was the runtime, the whole thing wrapped up in forty five minutes flat. The setup kicks off with Finn moving schools because his mom just married into money. He finds out his new step brother Aiden goes to the same place, and he's warned to keep his distance from him. Their first run in at school is rocky, just like you'd expect, but there's this odd pull between them neither can shake off. Finn keeps telling himself not to read into it because Aiden's straight and openly homophobic. Things shift when some kids start bullying Finn and the student council president, Ryan, steps in to ...
This is such a cute and endearing little series that’s basically designed to put a smile on your face. It’s definitely not trying to reinvent the wheel, but it does a nice job of showing how a bit of competition can finally make you realize that the person you want has been standing right in front of you the whole time. The plot is pretty straightforward: you’ve got this adorable young guy who suddenly finds himself with three different suitors and has to figure out which one—if any—is the right match. It runs for eight episodes at about 24 minutes each; honestly, it probably could’ve been even shorter, but it’s still a breezy watch.
The story follows young Yoo Doha, who is feeling pretty down after getting fired from his job. To his surprise, his former team leader reaches out because he wants to stay in his life. But as we find out right away in the first episode, the old boss isn't the only one after him; there’s also a bold and charming barista who owns a local cafe, plus Doha's gentle and loyal best friend. Doha is totally clueless about all this attention until one night when he’s out drinking with his friend. On the way home, he runs into the other two guys and ends up passing out. The next morning, he wakes up with a fuzzy memory of kissing someone, but he has no idea which of the three it was. While the guys are all busy trying to woo him, Doha eventually remembers that it was actually his best friend he kissed, which makes things super awkward. He starts pulling away from his friend because he’s confused, but as the barista and the boss try to take advantage of the situation to flirt with him, Doha finally realizes his heart actually belongs to his best friend.
To be honest, it’s incredibly obvious who the main couple is going to be after just the first couple of episodes. The show clearly puts way more focus on the friend than the other two, especially the cafe owner. That guy felt like just a random handsome dude who handed Doha his number and expected to win him over without much effort. At least the ex-boss tried to help him out with career advice, but the best friend is the only one who is truly there for him through everything, and that’s what Doha eventually sees. My main gripe is that Doha’s relationship with the other guys doesn't really go anywhere, and the show doesn't take enough time to give the characters any real depth. Everyone feels a bit one-dimensional, which made me wish they’d just ditch the extra suitors and spend that time on the two leads instead. That being said, all four guys are great-looking, which keeps the show charming and easy to watch. It’s total fluff with no real stress or complicated drama.
It's a simple, lighthearted love story that's perfect if you just want to see attractive leads and a happy ending without any heavy emotional baggage. (6/10)
