Honestly I can't believe we're still getting BL series this bad in 2026. This mini series runs about 7 to 8 episodes with a total runtime of just about an hour and it is so boring that I genuinely struggle to find the words. The actors are awkward, the story is as basic as it gets and there is almost nothing about this show worth saving. The makers do try to stir up some drama here and there but even that falls completely flat. Ho Won is a 23 year old university student who spots a man sitting alone at a gay bar and gets attracted to him. The man is Min U, a 33 year old who brushes Ho Won off immediately saying he's too young. Ho Won lies about his age and since he's made a bet with the bartender that he'll get this man home before the night is over, he switches tactics and eventually the two end up at Min U's place and sleep together. Despite being complete opposites in every way there's some kind of pull between them and they go on a couple of dates. But t...
This film is not very good to be honest. The plot of the film is paper thin. It just hinges on the idea that two people who seemingly can’t stand each other really just want to be in each others pants. I wonder what kind of reactions the film was met with in 2013 when it came out.
Steve is a mature, string man who left his job as a LAPD officer and joined advertising company in hope for calmer and better career. New hire mark is charming and charismatic with an English accent and is loved all around. Suddenly a promotion that Steve was eying for seems to be may be going into Mark's lap. Mark's charm and passion wins him favor with his colleagues and boss, bringing in jealousy between the two. The two antagonists head out for a team-building exercise in the Santa Fe desert for a business retreat and in one of the activities get lost and have to spend a night together. They share a night of passion and sex, followed by Steve's wrong assumption that Mark is gay when he's due to be married in just one month. Steve is more invested in the relationship. Mark wants him too but is very confused between his heart and doing the right thing. They continue meeting incognito. Eventually Steve shows up on Mark's wedding day and in a dramatic ending, the wedding gets called off and two men are together.
While the story is not particularly original, it has interesting characters, only if the execution of the film was also decent. Sadly the acting is strictly average. I have seen worse but the acting here was more theatrical and loud, for no reason whatsoever. So many of the scenes were awkward and too hard to watch; I covered my eyes quite a few times. And why did Mark feel the pressure to get married to a woman when clearly he loves Steve. And why was it of any consequence that Steve used to be a cop. Totally unnecessary. The film is far from what a reality would be despite the makers trying too hard. on a positive side, the two guys looked good and had a great body but thats it.
The acting is bad, the filming is wobbly, the dialog is corny, and way too many aerial shots of the city, deserts, and beaches. Avoidable. (3/10)
