Honestly I can't believe we're still getting BL series this bad in 2026. This mini series runs about 7 to 8 episodes with a total runtime of just about an hour and it is so boring that I genuinely struggle to find the words. The actors are awkward, the story is as basic as it gets and there is almost nothing about this show worth saving. The makers do try to stir up some drama here and there but even that falls completely flat. Ho Won is a 23 year old university student who spots a man sitting alone at a gay bar and gets attracted to him. The man is Min U, a 33 year old who brushes Ho Won off immediately saying he's too young. Ho Won lies about his age and since he's made a bet with the bartender that he'll get this man home before the night is over, he switches tactics and eventually the two end up at Min U's place and sleep together. Despite being complete opposites in every way there's some kind of pull between them and they go on a couple of dates. But t...
This series came during the covid times, a time when just making content wasn't the easiest thing to do. So, I definitely appreciate the hard work. But if I keep those feelings aside, this quarantine series is pretty basic and has absolutely nothing new or different to offer (except maybe the premise). The show has 8 episodes of 20-25 minutes each
A virgin guy Reb is planning to meet JM, a popular discreet online personality in the virtual online world for a discrete hookup, agreeing to keep their ‘alter’ names and to remain masked throughout their encounter. Interesting Reb is not ready for a live session for audience and freaks out. Clearly they lack chemistry and Reb asks JM to leave. But as son as he leave, it turns out that the area has been sealed because of covid case and now JM is forced to stay with Reb for 14 days. Since they did not have a good start, initially Reb is reluctant but he allows it. Over the course of next 6 episodes, we watch them grow from enemies , to acquaintances, to friends and lovers. They both share their past history and grow close eventually.
The series has a very Gameboys feeling of two strangers meeting online and connecting, but how they grow on each other over a time period of few days. Its a inspiration, but it really brings nothing to the table. Reb having an ex girlfriend added nothing much to the overall story. There's been multiple filipino BL's that have done quarantine stuff better. So this was meh. I was never really rooting for this couple because they weren't very fleshed out. Or at points even likable, so I was just kind of watching to finish it. There isn't much else to say about it, there was complete lack of chemistry or charm or anything for that matter. As mentioned , I di appreciate the efforts put in to make the show in a difficult time, and maybe had I seen this show two years ago, my feedback would have been different, but as of today, this show is easily a miss. It is no where close to Quaranthings or GameBoys. This is not a good start for me in this new year. (2.5/10)
