Honestly I can't believe we're still getting BL series this bad in 2026. This mini series runs about 7 to 8 episodes with a total runtime of just about an hour and it is so boring that I genuinely struggle to find the words. The actors are awkward, the story is as basic as it gets and there is almost nothing about this show worth saving. The makers do try to stir up some drama here and there but even that falls completely flat. Ho Won is a 23 year old university student who spots a man sitting alone at a gay bar and gets attracted to him. The man is Min U, a 33 year old who brushes Ho Won off immediately saying he's too young. Ho Won lies about his age and since he's made a bet with the bartender that he'll get this man home before the night is over, he switches tactics and eventually the two end up at Min U's place and sleep together. Despite being complete opposites in every way there's some kind of pull between them and they go on a couple of dates. But t...
The film started off well but it really didn't have much to say in the first place. With an incoherent storyline, the film loses its steam half way. The only saving grace is some good performances. So keep your expectations really low with this film, which is a mix of all sorts of genres with a lot of LGBTQ focus thrown in.
Andres and his gay brother barge into a construction site to steal money for Donalds' adoptive mother Pacing for her kidney operation. The plan goes wrong and they are now on a run with a girl Adriana, the secretary there. They go to Donald's ex boyfriend's house Martin to lay low for sometime. Through flashbacks we are told that, Pacing is a trans woman who has been adopting gay street kids who could get abused and provide them with shelter and food. So years ago, when brothers were on street, she took in Donald but not Andres. We also get to know a little about Adriana, whose military father and brothers keep her locked in, so this is her way of escape. Andres and Adriana fall for each other. Mother Pacing refuses to take money earned by wrong methods and pleads the boys to run themselves in. With help from her first adoptive son, who is now a general, she manages to get the brothers reduced sentence.
Pacing's character is the one that stands out the most. She has a noble intention and is doing good but she also never leaves her tongue in the cheek humor, which keeps the moments in the film extremely high and funny. Some of here scenes are truly funny. I also enjoyed the main cashier old lady and her interactions with Pacing. The straight love story and the sex scenes seemed forced in between the gay guys just for titlation. Donald and Andres, both look extremely handsome and do their parts right. They share a good chemistry and did what as required of them. The problem is with the overall story which didn't have much going on in the first place. There was a little crime action at the start, a lot of family melodrama in the middle, with a generous helping of slapstick comedy all around, with sex scenes in the middle for a drastic change of pace, while throwing shade at toxic masculinity and gays in the military. It's a strict time pass and nothing more. (4.5/10)
