This is the second vertical AI BL drama I've sat through, and honestly I went in knowing better. I had it on while I was doing cardio at the gym, and what struck me was just how much the plot echoed the last one I watched. Same step brother romance angle, same mystery girlfriend showing up near the end, same extra guy pining after one of the leads. Genuinely the only thing going for it was the runtime, the whole thing wrapped up in forty five minutes flat. The setup kicks off with Finn moving schools because his mom just married into money. He finds out his new step brother Aiden goes to the same place, and he's warned to keep his distance from him. Their first run in at school is rocky, just like you'd expect, but there's this odd pull between them neither can shake off. Finn keeps telling himself not to read into it because Aiden's straight and openly homophobic. Things shift when some kids start bullying Finn and the student council president, Ryan, steps in to ...
This series was a breath of fresh air in many ways. No unnecessary drama, to the point focussed story, no teenage college drama, a beautiful love story and most importantly a crackling chemistry between its two very good leading pair. This show is cute, adorable, aww, with simple story and romance at its core.
Jin Won is marathon runner who dreams of winning nationals. He is in college but has some issues with pacing his run. Enter, Sang Ha, a happy go lucky guy who has managed to figure out exactly how to pace in a run and is introduced as Jin Won's pacemaker. Initially disappointed in the coach’s decision, Jin Won is anything but friendly to his new partner but with time and determination, the two runners come to find they share a similar passion, both on the track and off. Soon we find out hat Sang Ha has been secretly crushing on Jin Won since school, and his passion to run also stems from the fact that he wants to be close to Jin Won. A beautiful love story Strats to brew. Trouble comes in form of a lender, whom Sang Ha owes money and only ay for him now to pay ooff his debt would be to win the marathon. Will Jin Won be ok with this betrayal and will the lovers be able to stay together? Yes, thankfully the film comes with a happy ending.
I have already mentioned about the chemistry that the two men share. Its really beautiful. Sang Ha's smile lights up the room and I liked that he was open to Jin Won about his feelings for me. There was no unnecessary beating around the bush for them. It takes Jin Won sometime to open up but I guess its because he needs to focus on running and also has never liked anyone before and probably confused about the sexuality too. Two young lovers finding running to bring them together is actually a nice simple yet novel idea. But what deserves applause is the masterful editing, screenplay and direction. This is a classic example that its eventually all about execution. It's a simple story which gets uplifted with a simple loving execution. With only 8 episodes of 10-12 minutes each, it was a very easy watch with no side story taking away the focus of the mai couple and story. Yes, the story has potholes and things that show up randomly but I am very willing to ignore al those. Watch it for the male duo and the positivity that Sang Ha shows for life and his love. (7.5/10)
