Honestly I can't believe we're still getting BL series this bad in 2026. This mini series runs about 7 to 8 episodes with a total runtime of just about an hour and it is so boring that I genuinely struggle to find the words. The actors are awkward, the story is as basic as it gets and there is almost nothing about this show worth saving. The makers do try to stir up some drama here and there but even that falls completely flat. Ho Won is a 23 year old university student who spots a man sitting alone at a gay bar and gets attracted to him. The man is Min U, a 33 year old who brushes Ho Won off immediately saying he's too young. Ho Won lies about his age and since he's made a bet with the bartender that he'll get this man home before the night is over, he switches tactics and eventually the two end up at Min U's place and sleep together. Jason has been using his childhood home for hooking up with his girlfriend Valerie since no one lives there. One such time, they find out that now a mysterious guy Sebastian has moved in, who eagerly warms up to anxious Jason. Wracked with desires he’s long tried to ignore while also being pressured by his girlfriend’s sensual advances, a growing sense of unease and dread permeates Jason's life. He feels being watched. He receives an ‘impossible’ photo of him embracing Sebastian. Does it have something to do with the mysterious boy living in his old house, or could it be something even deeper than that -- something that's been locked away for years, itching to be released?
The film is trying to be a gothic noir thriller and I guess is aimed at an audience in teens and early 20s. I can't imagine any grown up movie lover liking this film at all. The treatment is different, and not in a good way. Thankfully the decent acting by the two leads salvages the film a little. But that's it. As I said, given that this was filmed and funded by a mere 18 year old boy, I really don't want to be harsh, but I do feel there is potential here. Someone needs to channel and guide and mentor the boy in the right direction. As it is horror films are not my thing, and when they get mixed with a meta narrative style and thinking, you have completely lost me as the audience. (2/10)
