Chained To My Bully Stepbrother (AI Vertical BL Drama)

This is the second vertical AI BL drama I've sat through, and honestly I went in knowing better. I had it on while I was doing cardio at the gym, and what struck me was just how much the plot echoed the last one I watched. Same step brother romance angle, same mystery girlfriend showing up near the end, same extra guy pining after one of the leads. Genuinely the only thing going for it was the runtime, the whole thing wrapped up in forty five minutes flat.  The setup kicks off with Finn moving schools because his mom just married into money. He finds out his new step brother Aiden goes to the same place, and he's warned to keep his distance from him. Their first run in at school is rocky, just like you'd expect, but there's this odd pull between them neither can shake off. Finn keeps telling himself not to read into it because Aiden's straight and openly homophobic. Things shift when some kids start bullying Finn and the student council president, Ryan, steps in to ...

Just Say Love

Just Say Love is the film version of stage play. It is shot as if you are still watching the play which gives it a unique feeling. Specially the film also starts with some interesting scenes which leads you to believe that you might have found that one interesting yet different piece of gay cinema but alas that's not true. 

A rugged carpenter Doug is working on the street where he meets Guy sitting on bench. Guy is ardant fan of Plato and believes that love is everything. They strike up a conversation. They start off clearly wanting very different things out of their meetings, but it evolves - over a period of many months - into something that is mutually rewarding and satisfying to both of them, but not in the way they first expected. Doug mentions how his pregnant girlfriend Gita is all about spirituality these days and doesn't satisfy his sexual urges. Guy tries to overcome his sexual attraction towards Doug but cant fight for long. They start messing around which works for both. DOug gets out of it when the baby is about to arrive. This totally breaks Guy apart. But Doug can't remain apart. After the baby comes, he comes back to Guy and they strike a friendship again which leads to love and not sex. They feel so much more for each other. Gradually, thing start falling in place wen Doug decides that he has to tell Gita who ultimately accepts the relationship. 

The whole movie is in a stage format. It is interesting in parts. But I think it was stretched a little too much. Guy and Doug had some chemistry. But since it was shot in a play format, lot of other characters etc. were all fake, which kind of didn't go down well with me at least. They acted well though. This story if seen on stage, I would have absolutely loved it. A film version just reduced the affect for me. I would suggest to watch the play instead if you can. (4/10)

I am not sure I understand all the "Just say love" part of the film... but it was so GREAT! I really enjoyed this one I was able to see just about every picture they had painted even though their was nothing there to see I guess my mind was able to make it up for me just how I wanted to see it. I feel a huge connection with this film since my first well everything was much like their meet up it was meant as purely sexual but for me it became more only when I came crashing down to the floor in tears my first did not return to save me. I cant believe how powerful this film made me feel to see this in a play would just magnify that by like a 100 times! I am not sure any of my friends would understand this but I do feel it would be nice for us to all go out and see the play if it ever came this way!

Yes the content of the film was strong. But watching an actual play will have much more strong impact

I think the budget of this film was probably too small, but for that, the film definitely offers a different and unique storyline without over dramatizing anything. Every person has their own unique way of dealing with loss. This film is as much a psychological thriller as it is a soft porn BDSM portrayal of two young men that makes the film overall horrifying as well as humane. It is really hard to describe the genre of this film in one word. Its important not that the film has some really disturbing scenes so if you go into seeing this film, please proceed with caution. Although any sexual non-consensual activity is not ok, this film has its won strange way of showing that suicide is not the only solution to all life's problems. Makoto is a regular office goer, who just finds out that his girlfriend is probably cheating on him. ON top of it, his parents sudden death coming back from a trip that he forced them to take, he gets completely dejected and decides to commit suicide. The Shortest Distance is Round 3: Fallen Flowers

Continuing with the weird trilogy of "The Shortest Distance", I am so glad that finally I am done with part 3 and won't have to deal with this again in future. Thankfully, as of now the makers have not announced any further parts; which will save all of us on this earth from the embarrassment of watching this in near future. After the first 10 minutes are used in sort of recapping bits of first two parts, the story moves forward. Haruto is now starting to have feelings for Ruka, the mysterious pole dancer from second part. In a fit of rage, Ruka ends up killing the goat man and to save him and Haruto, Shibahara asks them to go underground.
